Garlic Confit

Y’all, this. This is my new favorite way to use garlic. Garlic Confit 🙌🏼 ⁣And I have to thank TikTok for turning me onto this—I can hang with the youths too ya know!

It’s the easiest of makes. Peel as much garlic as you’d like (I used three full heads of garlic), throw them into an oven safe pan, pour enough oil (olive for me!) over the garlic so it’s all submerged and bake it at 200 degrees F for three hours. Transfer to a storage container of your choice after it cools and stick it in the fridge for up to four months. And what you’ll get is buttery soft garlic that is spreadable, puree-able, so versatile and DANG tasty. And you can use the oil to cook with! It’s a slow bake but I promise it’s worth it. ⁣

Garlic is full of so much goodness. It helps boost your immune system (definitely eat it when you are feeling under the weather), helps lower blood pressure, helps lower cholesterol, can help your skin and can help reduce fatigue during physical labor!⁣

And it tastes dang good.⁣

Love y’all, nourish that sweet body of yours!
